@soatok Fighting back whatever system is against you is tough.

@herzenschein@furry.engineer Install Norton Antivirus.

@patcharcana@furry.engineer I know nothing about the "Proton compatible/verified" requirement on Steam but I have good idea about some technical limitation. Because Proton is based on Wine and so Wine is a translator to allow Windows applications to run on Linux as if they were Linux applications. Many features specific to Windows are still not supported on Wine and so Proton. Sometimes they are not fatal if they are missing, sometimes they do = not proton compatible. You can see what I meant by simply looking at Wine's AppDB: https://appdb.winehq.org/ Platinum applications are applications that run without any issue.Gold applications are applications that run well generally but they might get some issues sometimes though nothing critical for now.Silver applications are applications that run well too but they have noticeable (minor) issues.Bronze applications are applications that run albeit quite unusable.Garbage applications are applications that don't run at all or barely.

@nblr@chaos.social Where can I buy this? Asking for a friend.

@Houl@wetdry.world Darn it, it didn't work!

@francis@furry.engineer Welcome to furry.engineer!

@francis@furry.engineer am i restricted to talking people from furry.engineer only? This can be done using a rare feature of our Glitch edition but "no one" is really using it here. i dunno how fedi works at all Start looking around the timeline for some Mastodon/Fediverse accounts you find interesting to follow. Do note however many of them require you to be a bit known before being allowed to follow them. Another thing to consider in the Fediverse that is always discarded by newbie is tagging your pictures with "ALT text" to give a description in the event that: Someone did not understand what you posted.Someone has vision impairment. Let us know if you need more help discovering the Fediverse!

@francis@furry.engineer @jackemled@furry.engineer About the algorithm, if you follow on Bluesky the https://furryli.st account, it is similar to how their "New" feed works. (Well, not really anymore since a new update here that made posts from outside furry.engineer appear as local in the local timeline.) (It used to be you could pick between 3 timelines here then now all of them show content from here but also mostly from outside.)

@someone_else@infosec.exchange @dan@discuss.systems Your dishes are like malware: you need security update on your dishwasher to disinfect your dishes against common dirt.
