@jeffcliff@shitposter.world @Wiz@tsundere.love @ceo_of_monoeye_dating@tsundere.love As far as the attitudes of all of the entrants goes:
Wiz, EdBoat, M_39, and Ratposter are going to actively campaign for themselves to win.
The ones who are upset are:
- Armstrong is the one who is playing it off the smartest (he accepted the follow and is just quiet about it, after a single outburst).
- Next in line are Subnetter and Mint who aren't accepting the follow - but still are quiet about it.
- The most assmad are Kerokeronim, SRK, Aidan, and CSB who have very loudly blocked this account and are seething.
Graf removed my follow, but is otherwise cordial. Halo and SMetzeler don't seem to know about the tournament. The rest seem to be in good spirits - somewhere between "I'm just gonna lose
" to "I'm going to be disappointed in all those who hate me if I don't win."

Quarterfinals, Match 2: SMetzeler vs. Jeff Cliff #FaggotTourney
Where to even begin here.... MINDS in the quarterfinals?! That's right! Mind's top guy and relative newcomer SMetzeler takes on SPW's perennial favorite and tournament regular, Jeff Cliff! This match promises to be very entertaining.
Let's start with SMetzeler. The dark horse candidate of the tournament, he comes fresh off a win over PDP/Armstrong in a stunning upset. He did get a decent amount of initial votes for being a (((merchant))) and "libertarian", but no one expected Minds to show up on their feed, much less for the tournament. On a personal note, I just don't like his PFP and that's a high crime by itself.
And then there was Jeff Cliff. Jeff finds himself in the quarterfinals surged on by his "fans" all across Fedi. No matter what language you speak, no matter where you live, you're gonna be a SUPER SPREADER of cheek...COVID. That's right, the only thing more persistent than COVID after 15 vaccines is Jeff talking about it and getting his way into the tournament because of it. Jeff is one of the few contestants to be interviewed on The Fedi Files, and a comment on his episode said it best: "he seemed like a normal guy when you weren't talking about COVID".
Will Minds be able to #stopthespread of Dark Jeff, or will he be taking SMetzeler out back for 2 weeks to flatten his tournament curve? Will (((they))) show up to support their goy? Can Minds even see half the voters in the thread? We'll find out!

Round 2, Match 8: Kerokeronim vs. Adam Curry #faggottourney
This is a match between two people who are responsible for the destruction of their home instance! Yes, this is the match between former Admin of Nyanide, Kerokeronim, and host of the No Agenda Podcast, Adam Curry!
First, we have the local Tengu Rapist Kerokeronim! He's been around for a long period of time, and until recently he hasn't caused any serious problems, other than making his previous home of FreeSpeechExtremist.com look a little gayer than it normally would have otherwise. Eventually he got a friend to let him administrate lab.nyanide.com, and after last year's tournament he decided to *burn the whole instance to the ground* by leaking signup emails! The resulting fallout caused a modest exodus from the site, which only accelerated after Kero kept lashing out at everyone around him. Eventually, the owner of the instance shuttered the whole site, and Kero is now hanging out on freebeerextremist.com where he vagueposts about people he hates and quietly looks up feet pics of girls he likes.
He's up against Adam Curry. After beating previous finalist CSB, he looks pretty unstoppable this year! This is probably one of the most *intense* grifters, being someone who gets paid to feature fan's content on his show. That's right - people pay to make his podcast! If it couldn't get any gayer than that, he is *also* an instance-destroyer: his behavior was responsible for tanking noagenda.social, which is why the NAS instance is called noauthority.social.
Will NAS show up in force to vote for someone who they've hated for years, or will the more recent drama push Kero through to quarterfinals?

Round 2, Match 4: Graff vs. Jeff Cliff #faggottourney
"As featured on The Verge, USA Today, and more" importantly the Faggot Tournament, Graf finds himself in familiar territory where he faces off against another tournament favorite, Jeff Cliff! Both contestants have extremely dedicated fan clubs with infamy and notoriety in equal parts.
The owner and head jannie of Poast, Graf comes off of a surprising early loss last year but is primed for a successful tournament run this year. From a never-ending stream of overly publicized partner drama (including the ex's mom) to recently making former tournament winner Judge Dread a moderator, Graf has had quite the year since the last tournament. Graf's unique "talent" for finding women makes him an oddly qualified faggot, as no other fedizen has ever pulled a partner out of the psych ward. Other notable acts of faggotry include the usual blocking and defeds, non-stop over sharing, dealing with the media, and e-begging for money.
He faces off against Jeff Cliff, a man with a much more singular focus. Interact with this post? You've just got HECKIN COVID, buddy. That's right, the only thing more infectious than a hellthread is the 100th resurgence of a pandemic, and YOU are to blame. Jeff comes off of a win from the last round where his usual suspects showed up in force to propel him to victory, but one question remains..... Is he going to be the super spreader or the cheek spreader in this match of the faggots? Let's find out!

Round 2, Match 2 #faggottourney
This match is between @p@fsebugoutzone.org and Azur_Fenix!
@p@fsebugoutzone.org forced me to add rule 8.
Azur_Fenix surprisingly won their match against Wiz last round! They cried in the nomination thread hard enough that they were thrust into the 9th seed, and then when they won they sperged out at Tamamo/everyone for having let this get this far! Azur_Fenix is very openly upset about this, and watching them win another match will be funny as all hell! Will they defeat @p@fsebugoutzone.org in what can only be called a bizarre sequence of upsets, or will @p@fsebugoutzone.org pull some absolutely fucking degenerate bullshit to make himself win?

This is a reminder that nominations are currently scheduled to remain open until May 25th. You have until I wake up on the 25th and close the thread. I will not ever look at this thread after I am done tallying nominations.
The nomination thread is extremely large. A lot of Pleroma instances are going to struggle to load it. I strongly suggest that you place your nomination in the thread as soon as possible, as it is entirely possible that the thread will be impossible to load if you delay for too long.
So far, this has been a massive preemptive success. I am glad that all of you have turned out and put forth a good chunk of fresh, new faces for the tournament this year!
