➡️ https://actu.epfl.ch/news/un-robot-aile-nage-et-vole-comme-un-oiseau-plong-2/ #EPFL #Robotique

"Building a shared world": that's what Luca Pattaroni have always been absorbed by. The research of the co-head of the Urban Sociology Laboratory asks what these models of coexistence and collective living might teach the rest of society. He has been studying alternative and countercultural communities at EPFL for almost two decades. Find out more about him, from the theory and practice of sociology to social justice: https://actu.epfl.ch/news/embracing-difference-is-the-foundation-of-a-shared/ #EPFL #UrbanSociology #Professor

Information, or publicly shared facts, shapes our societies and influences our lives. While reliable information builds trust and cooperation, corrupted information can undermine them. How to keep information trustworthy when content is increasingly machine-made? EPFL professor Andrea Cavallaro shares his view.

Mirjana Stojilović had to teach in French soon after arriving at EPFL from Serbia. Language proved to be no obstacle for the engineer, who has been named the best teacher in the computer science section for 2025.

Demystifying the material, using games, making her classes highly visual, and staying as close as possible to her students by being approachable: the scientist does everything she can to create a safe space for learning.
