This might be the worst thing I’ve seen in #LiquidGlass, and that’s saying something. On iPad with a pointer device, when you hover over a liquid glass button, you get… another liquid glass button overlay? The amount of liquid glass is too damn high!

I like https://contractfortheweb.org/ but unfortunately the fact that Google, Facebook, and Twitter are listed as "supporters" of it highlights the fact that you can just say "sure whatever" while being the actual core of the problem.

It's still a bit surprising they were allowed to be listed as supporters, when Tim Berners-Lee explicitly lists FB and Twitter as "harmful" on https://www.w3.org/DesignIssues/Good.html

It is not correct that the way an AI model (a) broke out of an enviroment with no internet access is by (b) hacking into the servers of a different company. Unless that company had their servers connected to OpenAI’s on a LAN

Presenters at a conference I'm at have iPads, but in a shot on the video there was a musical instrument with wooden sides (probably a keyboard or synth) that showed up behind them and it looked a bit like he had his notes up on some kind of Apple I era device on stage 😂

Aside from online informal use, emoji provide the opportunity to make all kinds of writing more clear. For example, when writing dialogue, to indicate a pause, instead of using a comma, you could write 🐾

@rmondello@hachyderm.io my two big hurdles with passkeys:

1. Doubt that every web site in every browser on my every device will correctly put the passkey into my password manager (1Password) and retrieve it from there

2. Supporting relatives when a web site has nontechnical marketing for passkeys (“fewer clicks!”) but then when something goes wrong in the future it’s like “missing your passkey” and they are like “what is a passkey???” and they have no idea how to start finding it
