Chaotic Human

@hollie@weirder.earth @beka_valentine@kolektiva.social (I just realized, that Neil Gaiman actually already joined on 5th of November and not just recently. I even already followed him but forgot about that. Also I just checked their website and mastodon.social is currently indeed closed for new signups however Neil Gaiman unfortunately just recently posted an invitation-link to it on Twitter. If other famous people repeat that behavior then I fear mastodon.social officially being closed for signups might actually not matter.)

@hollie@weirder.earth @beka_valentine@kolektiva.social I think an outreach-program aimed at these famous people is ultimately a necessity if we want to prevent Mastodon factually centralizing towards mastodon.social

@hollie@weirder.earth @beka_valentine@kolektiva.social This could unfortunately generally become a greater problem because most famous people are now apparently going to mastodon.social (f.e. just recently also Neil Gaiman) meaning this instance will likely achieve the largest instance-specific network-effect in the fediverse unless these famous people eventually decide to go away from it again and start their own instances or alternatively employ assistants to start these instances for them.

Sorry to everyone here but I'm likely going to delete my Mastodon account soon as I haven't really used it for a while now and mainly focused on Bluesky/the ATmosphere instead and no longer plan to change that. Meaning at this point if you want to stay in touch with me just follow me on the ATmosphere instead. My account there is @chaotichuman.x0f.nl.
