mastodon 4.8.0-nightly.2026-10-06Back in the Xbox days I had a huge gut, my kids used to say I was 15 months pregnant. When we got the Xbox every single use name I could think of was taken but this one. While I'm no longer ball shaped the name has stuck.
You post Fring because you have something clever to say
I post Fring because I painted him to keep from freaking out during my job search after being laid off.
We are not the same.

Time of day change
I used the reference (right) to paint but changed the time of day to sunset. How did I do?

Topless
After trying a bunch of monotone to color practices I decided to just stick to monotone and focus on values. The focus of the practice here is hands and values. How did I do? Often my hands are either low detail or look like a cartoon.
Sunset at the Tree
My mom took the source photo. This is one of her favorite trees to photograph, pretty sure I have a dozen photos of it at different times of day and year. I read that a person in a landscape grounds us in the scene. So I added one.
Maria Brink
In This Moment is hands down one of my favorite metal bands. And one few other metal heads I know have heard of. Amazing band!

Deep Breath
Another attempt at colorizing from a monochrome reference. This one turned out better I think. Thoughts or feedback?
The monochrome is the original reference.

Angel
Trying something different. The reference makes me happy!

Uncle Phil
My absolute favorite father figure on TV. So many great moments. My favorite might be the pool shark episode, "Jeffrey, break out Lucille." What are some of your favorites?

Sunrise
At a specific time of the morning there is this green hue between the orange and blue that's gorgeous. Unfortunately it doesn't show up in photographs so I had to paint the sky from memory.
