A kid asked me what biologists called the trumpet shaped flowers when describing them before there were trumpets. I'm going to try to find him an answer but I'm asking here to not forget later to find out. #plantID

@lukeharby@infosec.exchange not a botanist but I like searching for stuff like this. spider mites seems to be the closest contender. See If you can see tiny red dots within the web. There’s also a fungal thread blight, and wooly aphids, but the pictures I find online are nowhere near that uniform distribution like in your photos. Also, I’ve seen such questions under #plantid and #bugid tags
