#conversations_im

Conversations is now permanently available for free on Google Play. Google doesn’t deserve me and my money anymore. https://gultsch.de/posts/breaking-up-with-google-play/ #XMPP #Jabber #Conversations_im #Android #FOSS #OpenSource #Google #GooglePlay

#Quicksy registrations are permanently closed. The project was viable for a long time only because it required minimal effort. However, fighting industrial-scale SMS pumping fraud has become unsustainable, both financially and in terms of workload. The XMPP server will remain online for the foreseeable future, but users are advised to switch their client to #Conversations_im.

Tomorrow is #diday again and I just recognised that #conversations_im seems to be available temporarily for free in the Play Store. What a great match and a great opportunity to invite family members and friends to #xmpp ! If you need a tutorial you might have a look at: https://imday.de/ And do not forget: It is also available at #fdroid .

RE: https://gultsch.social/@daniel/116578297080678405 It took Google 9 days to review this release. These insane review times seem to be the new normal. Anyway it’s finally live on Google Play. Enjoy the new search bar and the improved attachment flow. #XMPP #Jabber #Conversations_im
