Oh, fuck no, #BrokenTimes. Here’s One Thing Joe Manchin Was Right About https://www.nytimes.com/2026/09/23/opinion/independents-midterms-democrats.html?smid=tw-share

Shameful: The #BrokenTimes hands David Ellison op-ed space rather than challenging his bullshit pap and propaganda about journalism with the receipts he has already delivered at CBS. That would be journalism. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/08/04/opinion/david-ellison-paramount-warner-deal.html

Why did the #BrokenTimes put this picture of McConnell on its homepage? It's from May, but homepage illustrations have no captions. It leaves the wrong impression. Images matter.

Aw, #BrokenTimes is so concerned about its readers who can afford second homes worth more than $5 million. Some of them are confused. 🎻 Rollout of New York City’s Second-Home Tax Is Confusing Some Residents https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/29/nyregion/new-york-second-home-tax-rollout-anxiety.html?smid=tw-share

The #BrokenTimes pernicious addiction to understatement: "Trump might be pushing it." Voters Think All Politicians Are a Little Corrupt, but Trump Might Be Pushing It https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/24/magazine/corruption-voters-trump-midterms.html?smid=tw-share

Americans are struggling with high costs and the #BrokenTimes decides this is the moment to have a writer buy a $160 hat ("it fit my head like an avocado fits its pit") and $770 shirt. Read the room, editors. I Thought ‘Menswear’ Was for Other Men. Then I Touched the Perfect Hat. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/21/magazine/menswear-clothes.html?smid=tw-share

This is insane: the #BrokenTimes' Edsall proposes a Democratic platform that supports the death penalty and allows the Right to still set the agenda on trans. Three Things Democrats Have to Do if They Actually Want to Win https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/14/opinion/project-2026-2028-democratic-platform.html?smid=tw-share

Unprecedented grift and theft justified "with inaccurate claims." You be you, #BrokenTimes. Trump Justifies Money Made as President With Inaccurate Claims https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/11/us/politics/trump-money-crypto-financial-gains.html?smid=tw-share

Unbelievable. The #BrokenTimes (again) promotes pronatalism, a cousin to eugenics, when the reason the US has a population problem is not sex but Trump and immigration. The Population Bust Is Coming Sooner Than Anyone Is Prepared For https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/11/opinion/population-forecast-birth-rate.html?smid=tw-share

#BrokenTimes: "Republicans have taken a different tack.... It is a question on which the left and right have largely diverged"

In Backing Der Führer's Policies, Judge Freisler Finds His Moment. FFS, #BrokenTimes. In Backing President Trump’s Policies, Justice Alito Finds His Moment https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/04/us/politics/justice-alito-influence-supreme-court.html?smid=tw-share

I don't know what diners the #BrokenTimes is frequenting, but I'm neither feeling nor sensing much "patriotic fervor" near me.

Journalists are in the business of choosing words and the #BrokenTimes chooses them terribly. "Windfall" is "unexpected good fortune". The correct word is "corruption".

"Unrivaled moneymaking run." No, #BrokenTimes, it is unprecedented CORRUPTION. Use the word. If you can't say this, you can't report what is actually happening.

"Trump's historical yarns often stretch the truth." No, #BrokenTimes, he LIES. At long last, use the word. If you can't say this, you do not tell the truth.

This is the framing the #MurdochJournal & #BrokenTimes wish for: Democrats at war. There's another framing: Democrats' broad tent welcomes many views and all are ready for war with Trump. Democrats Are in a Civil War—and the Far Left Is Gaining Ground https://www.wsj.com/politics/elections/democrats-are-in-a-civil-warand-the-far-left-is-gaining-ground-bdd9567b?st=RtQKN4

The #BrokenTimes is so desperate to devalue the Mamdani victories they lead with the awful Suozzi as their poster-boy "moderate" and end with the awfuller Yang. Sad. Centrist Democrats Rebuke Party’s Left Wing: ‘We Are Capitalist, Not Socialist’ https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/26/us/politics/moderate-democrats-capitalist-socialism.html?smid=tw-share

"Unhappy" "Uneasy" No, #BrokenTimes, we are angry. You didn't cover the fascist takeover and you're not covering the revolution that will unseat the dictator.

Jeezus, #BrokenTimes. It's not a reality show, a drama: a "feud." This is autocracy, dictatorship, the destruction of the Constitution and democracy. Cover it that way! Trump Keeps Immunity from I.R.S., a Victory in a Long-Running Feud www.nytimes.com/2026/06/05/u... Trump Keeps Immunity from I.R....

OMG. I know things have gotten bad when I find Russ Douthat of the #brokentimes is on the same side as me in something.
