A small child on an adult’s shoulders waves a handmade sign that reads "Families Belong Together" at a protest in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
The child creates a quiet center amid overlapping signs and raised hands, his tiny hand holds a big message. The crowd’s layered slogans push forward like a single, determined voice.
The moment reads as both protective and resolute, where private worry becomes public action.
