webrings and banner links and pixel icons to show off our fandoms!

• coding in little workarounds to circumvent Geocities ads. XD

@hiphopheaven@rap.social I don't mind editing tools and filters (that mimic photography/camera styles for quick posts), but AR filters so that you can put funny dog ears on peoples' faces? that's... a priority? yeah. XP and that Patreon page is so sad and low-effort, it looks abandoned and/or like a scam. maybe put some work into that if you expect people to give you money, geez. I don't know how Loops gets SO MUCH attention and anything related to Pixelfed is half-assed hot garbage...

@Quicky@toot.wales welcome to the club! there are lots of us! XD it's a shame -- there's a lot of constructive feedback from the Pixelfed community that could help drive development forward, but the lead dev is too quick to hit a button and ignore it because a post isn't all rainbows & sunshine & ass-kissing. thin skin unable to handle even mild criticism + no interest in serving the FULL spectrum of users (despite claiming to and bleating about "DOING IT FOR THE COMMUNITY! <3") doesn't bode well, huh.

it seems like the Kickstarter hasn't had any updates posted since January, either, which doesn't instill confidence. :\

@andrewblasco@masto.es I'm looking forward to the Android version, too. I wish the "redesign" wasn't quite so slavishly copied from Instagram (it's okay to do something a little different & unique to make Pixelfed stand out!), but maybe that will make the transition easier for some people...
