@Viss@mastodon.social Basically zero of the things shown in your screenshot are docker or k8s-specific so I'm not sure I see the connection. If your webserver is exposing your AWS credentials file that's a problem with your server configuration, not your container or VM or whatever other layers you may have. And generally a container wouldn't even have a file like that because you'd pass credentials down as env variables or through IMDS.

@pixelambacht Honestly I wouldn't do either? It's not really about the money I just do not have the patience to deal with proprietary licenses for JS libraries, fonts, icons, etc. It feels like paying for the opportunity to be sued later. If I was still doing freelance I guess I'd be open to a Patreon-type model where you pay for access to the files but the license is open. I'm probably just not their target market though.

@fvsch My work pays for an IDE with Claude built in, I like it but it definitely still makes mistakes sometimes and it's kinda slow. I can't really answer the ethics question for you; Gemini/Antigravity is another one to consider but of course that's tied to Google.
