Google spent so much money on AI that Alphabet's free cash flow was negative on revenue of $118bn, meaning it spent more than it brought in for the first time in the company's history as a public company. KYPSC says federal data shows the cost of electricity for residential ratepayers in Kentucky has increased by 21.8% from 2020 to 2025.

The regulator wrote that because of rising utility costs, the agency believes a “broader examination” of affordability issues would help it better understand “the factors affecting affordability” and “evaluate existing and potential approaches for addressing those concerns.”

American Efficient & affiliated companies must pay about $1.1 billion for “one of the largest and most brazen frauds” in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s history. Indiana & Michigan Power on Wednesday announced it wants to cut electricity rates.

The plan would reduce bills by $79 million a year, saving the average residential customer about $100 a year. It also calls for freezing rates for three years. I&M says the plan is made possible by increased revenue paid by large customers including data centers.
