My business:
Time to retire the kiddo's iPad Pro from 2018 - cracked screen, too bulky and no more OS updates.
I didn't realise there are 4 kinds of iPads to choose from now 😕
Any reccos? Looking for the $600 to $700 range in the 2nd hand market. 90% of use will be when travelling, but she's just started school and loves drawing apps. Needs to be small, light and with pencil support.
Free public transport is such an obvious improvement. The 9:32am train is usually empty, now it's mostly full.
Imagine if Victoria didn't build all those dumbarse tollways...
I made a massive Mexican feast for friends, I'm now on the 3rd day of leftovers. This is uncharted territory.
Apple flogging Dominos Pizza?
Gross in every way. Aren't Apple supposed to be better than this?
I've taken to mixing non alcoholic beer with a mid strength beer. 2 x375ml cans.
That way I get a lot of beer, that tastes waaay better than pure non alcoholic beer with a collective alcohol content of only 1.75%

@decryption@aus.social Mastodon is definitely not the place for sport, unfortunately.
I feel you though - my team in the NRL is genuinely a chance of not winning a game all season. That has not occurred in over 60 years. We've lost 14 straight and not tasted victory since August last year.
Outside of this game, North Melbourne appear to be doing better on the ladder than in previous years?
Getting pretty close to a general release of our Vehicle KM Tracker for tax deduction purposes.
Adding some UI polish. I'm quite happy with the interactions when reviewing a trip as either business or personal. (It's a little janky in the simulator but super smooth on-device)
Weird seeing PC component ads on a train. Especially for DDR5.
This stuff on toast for brekkie is excellent.
Text Edit on macOS has a horizontal scrollbar by default it seems. Why? I find this irrationally irritating.
Gout just ran a 19.67 200m! That is an alien time at just 18 years old.
For reference Bolt was 19.93 at the same the age (though progress is never linear obviously).

@decryption Yeah definitely useful, I had a general understanding of how they work, but your write-up connected a few dots for me.
That Ryzen 395 is a little beast, but honestly I was expecting more than $3.5k for 128gb of RAM.
Look forward to part 2!

Really happy to read this, sounds like it's worked out perfectly for both of you!
I know the implications of enabling this at the Android OS level. However, always being able to see the band and song that's currently playing in my physical space is very cool.
Just want to give a shout out to this app. It's brilliant, fills in every gap within the default iOS simulator. Worth every cent. No affiliation, just a happy customer, and love indie devs making great stuff.
