@psy das SUV hat geparkt, damit ist es für die Polizei unsichtbar, weil die sich nur um den fließenden Verkehr kümmert. Fürs Parken ist das Ordnungsamt zuständig. Das SUV fuhr also und als sie es gerade anhalten wollten, verschwand es einfach 👻 Magie!

@ulrichkelber Mir ist ehrlich gesagt nicht klar, wo bei Wirtschaft die Wissenschaft ins Spiel kommt. Soweit ich weiß, ist es doch ziemlich umstritten, ob es wirklich etwas Wissenschaftliches bei den "Wirtschaftswissenschaften" gibt. Echte Erfolge oder wertvolle Beiträge zur Entwicklung der Menschheit scheint es ja niocht zu geben...

@kuketzblog Es so wenig wie möglich nutzen und sich ansonsten damit arrangieren. Ich kann es eh nicht ändern, und alles Andere würde nur sinnlos meine Energie verschwenden.

@amenonsen@flipping.rocks I tried FreeCAD, but I found it to be too complicated for sketches. I don't need exact technical plans, I just need something that makes sketching (in 2D) easy but also allows measuring and resizing to measure. I haven't found anything, yet, that fits those requirements.

@stefan especially interesting: the daily follows have declined from 8 million a year ago to under 2 million now (a 75% drop). Even with declining user numbers there still could be a lot of user circulation (old ones leaving, new ones signing up), but then the follows would be more stable on higher levels. Now it looks like they have a declining longtime user base without getting many new ones.

@dansup will we get a new Pixelfed-App (for Android) as well? The current one has lots of bugs (off-screen/non-working buttons for example hat make most parts of it unusable) but hasn't been updated in half a year.

@admina ich hatte eine Weile einen Root-Server plus Storage bei netcup, habe immernoch Domains dort. Es gab nie Probleme, und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war IMHO ziemlich gut.

@VQuaschning das Problem ist nicht, das das nicht verstanden würde. Die #CDU möchte aber lieber ihre Kumpels aus der Wirtschaft bedienen und sich so selbst bereichern. Die anderen Menschen und zukünftige Generationen sind ihnen scheissegal.

@dansup A language filter would be nice as well. In my feed there are often videos in languages that I neither speak nor understand.

The first one is the job name and the description of my academic training, the second one is the description of what I actually do (especially to non-techies, as opposed to just managing stuff or people).

@pmbrandvold@techtoots.com I'm pretty sure that they used bolts (plus anchors) and wooden dowels. That's the standard in cheaper furniture you get at IKEA and similar cheap furniture providers that needs to be assembled by the customer. For building it myself I'd use proper joints like mortise and tenon and avoid screws if possible (they always come loose at some point) or use them only to secure proper joints.
