The book explores the vital yet often neglected role of #RLOs, showing how people challenge restrictions, create economic opportunities, & foster belonging—collectively by self-organizing

What meanings do people with lived experience of conflict and displacement ascribe to peace?
Nadine Segadlo, Hannah Edler and I explore this question in the recent article "Making sense of peace in exile? Displaced people’s intersectional perceptions of peace", published in Peacebuilding.

Ich darf am Donnerstag auf dem Panel zu "Transnationalisierung von #Gewalt - Folgen für gesellschaftliche Polarisierung" mit Kolleg*innen diskutieren. Diverse weitere Diskussionen sind geplant u.a. zu nachhaltigem #Frieden, Rüstungskontrolle und #klima.
Die Konferenz könnte kaum zu einer dringenderen Zeit kommen.

Academic freedom is under threat—yet research is vital in resisting anti-democratic forces.
Alone, our impact is limited—but together, we can act.
Collective action drives a new initiative by 27 migration scholars from around the globe: Don’t Mourn, Organize and Stand Together as Scholars of Migration.
They now launched a petition to make this collective resistance public.
