The face when you escape you carrier on the way home from the vet and crawl over to the pedals forcing the car to pull over

@julian@activitypub.space @hongminhee@hollo.social @mariusor@metalhead.club there was a brief discussion about this in the fedify matrix channel a bit ago. I think https://dev.funkwhale.audio/funkwhale/pyfed (though not sure how active development is for this) https://codeberg.org/bovine/bovine/ (also looks dead) and @julian@fietkau.social is building a library for SciOp (https://blog.sciop.net/2025-12-08/sfn-and-federation#federation-plans)

@db I had a smart bulb in my apartment that needed to turn off and on in rapid succession 10 times in order to enter pairing mode. The knob on the lamp swapped between 3 settings (off, low, on) so turning off and on wasn't fast enough via that method. And it wasn't connected to a light switch, which meant I had to repeatedly pull the plug out of the outlet and jam it back in to get it to work

@ajn142@infosec.exchange @nick@amok.recoil.org

@cwebber@social.coop not a cost-cutting exercise Maybe I don't understand what they mean by this, but how could this not be about cost-cutting? Isn't that what it is when you cut labor costs because you think AI can do that labor cheaper?

@jonah Facebook has that policy where if you type "I declare that I do not give my permission for Meta to use my personal data for any purposes" then they can't use it

But doctor...I am Wired magazine

or I guess @andypiper@macaw.social might be able to do something about this

@mo@mastodon.ml @hongminhee@hollo.social I think the "decentralized" PLC will probably just look like "decentralized" DNS, for better or worse.

@alex@feed.yopp.me @trending_bot@tomkahe.com yeah my whole server was down all day, things should be running again now

@mariusor Ah, sorry, I misunderstood

@mariusor you can't report DMs?

@box464 Are there still active nostr<->ActivityPub bridges? It'd be neat to bring some archived vines over to AP
