@jzb@hachyderm.io Well.... If this topic leads where I fear it leads, neither of us is... or will be... 😏

@djvdq@mastodon.social Although I do not fully understand the reasoning, you are free to make that decision, of course.
And it makes me sad 😞

@mekkaokereke@hachyderm.io Hmm.... And isn't the problem hidden somewhere else?
Like, similarly to the smartphones these days - e.g. that you pay the rest of the price with your private data? 🤔

@UKnoGum@mastodon.social Interesting...
"it made all the wealth vanish into the pockets of the billionaires" - . can you please explain, how? I'm not sure I understand...

@nirak@carhenge.club @mekkaokereke@hachyderm.io I mean, yeah, probably, but I'd rather not have my personal data with Communist Party of China... 😒

@msbellows@c.im That is right. With one small exception - that this malware can also be used to identify bugs/weaknesses of products/solutions and thus to help fixing/hardening them...
Remember - it is just a tool. And it depends on people how they use it...

@markwyner@mas.to @Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de @aphyr@woof.group Well, this is awful 😠
Shame on you #gitlab !
I might consider Codeberg, once it:
- can do ticket subtasks,
- will have ticket quick actions
- will have useful dashboards for work tracking (not the 'toy' Projects it contains now...)
- will have Incident Management (alert monitoring, incident tickets, ...)
It is nice that it already has pipelines; still, that is not enough.
#Codeberg will get there... Sometime... In the future...
But is not there yet 😞

@MIKAtheELEPHANT Yeah, I know. I'm actually in #GitLab part of the story...
...where you can have online #Gitlab repos, and you can *run* >online< CI/CD pipelines on >your local infrastructure< 😊
So my surprised question was pointed towards that; whether you can actually do the same with github? 🤔

@fchaix @nixCraft Anyway #2: LLM for Translations, also for TTS, STT...
Although I do see huge issues with how, for what and mainly by whom the AI is being used these days - and some huge negative questions and implications attached nobody has an answer for - there are some interesting and really useful usecases...
