Je reprends mes marques avec l'iPad. C'est très différent maintenant. Et Linea Sketch aussi.
Okay… getting the hang of iPad again it’s very different now. Also Linea Sketch.
@gedeonm@mastodon.social is to blame.

Apple so far cannot sell me on the idea, but if anyone does it will be you. And now inktober. LOL

@wlukewindsor@c.im I was diagnosed with type 2 non-insulin diabetes and it was my fervent wish to beat It, which I have. But it meant completely changing my life and diet; throwing out all the food in my house and starting over.
So you should still pat yourself on the back.

Cool cool, MIT. I'm sure this is fine. MIT students are not already stressed at all.
" Individuals can also be automatically classified on the basis of clothing color, gender, and age, up to a distance of 35 feet (11 meters) from the camera. According to a statement from MIT spokesperson Kimberly Allen, any collected data is “retained up to 30 days,” unless an exception is granted."

Power plugs, a summartion.
UK plugs, yes.
Australian plugs, yes.
Euro plugs, no.
USA/CA/MX plugs, no.
Japanese plugs, no.
Italian plugs, hell no.
I will not be hearing dissenting opinions. Thank you for your understanding, even if you have an urge to be wrong.

Remember when they were like 'yeah, we'll lose some customers over price hikes, but then we'll magically grow like a million percent based on *waves hands around*' ? Yeah. Not happening.

I wrote a new pinned post (partly so you wouldn't be tagged in it any more, Andy) and then I lost the whole thing. I even had all the alt text done. Dammit.

And yes, I recognize that, having identified as a lesbian for the majority of my adult life, saying I'm "not a strappy kind of girl" is inviting the tittering comment that a couple of you are teeing up right now... 😛
("Aren't you still a lesbian?" Dude, I don't even know what I am. Asexual/Ace seems to be the best label these days.)

Of course the dirty secret is they don't want you to have a computer. They want you to have a terminal that rents time on their increasingly planet-devastating mega-machines.

I don't have a problem: Part 4
Je n'ai pas de problème : Partie 4
I solved the ever-growing pile of books on my nightstand by basically just listening to audiobooks all the time (and a couple of favorite podcasts).
But now that I've realized the Harvard Book Store, a common stop on my daily walks, used section has been stocking up a fair bit of fantasy and scifi in the french section, I have created a new problem...
Today was the first time I ran into someone else shopping that section and I had to tell her that I already took all the good stuff. I offered to share. I'm not a monster. Well, not that kind of monster.

"Thank you for contacting me to express your thoughts regarding H.R. 7757, the KIDS Act. I appreciate you taking the time to share your position on this issue and would like you to know that I voted for this legislation.
H.R. 7757 was introduced by Representative Brett Guthrie on March 3, 2026, and was passed by the House on June 29. This bill brings together several measures — including the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) and the Children and Teens' Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 2.0) — to require certain online platforms to adopt stronger safeguards for minors.
I voted yes on this bill because it provides a meaningful step toward establishing overdue, baseline protections for children online and ensuring families have the legal tools to seek justice when kids are put in harm’s way...
...Please know that I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on H.R. 7757. I will keep your thoughts in mind should further legislation regarding this issue be brought to the House floor for a vote...
