#PleaseBoost - advice needed from Steam Deck owners!

I'm getting myself a Steam Deck very soon, and I'd need a bit of assistance when it comes to what OS I should put on it. Should I keep SteamOS (so I can say I use Arch btw), or should I use something like Bazzite, or something else? Also, if y'all have any pointers on getting started with a Steam Deck, please let me know. I've been using Linux since August, and completely ditched Windows, so I'm pretty well-versed into using Linux itself I'd say - but if there are differences you feel are notable when using Linux with the Steam Deck (apart from SteamOS/Bazzite being immutable), or any general pointers on making my experience better, please let me know!

please boost, looking for a software utility :3

hey Fedi, looking for a little utility to make and edit documents. I am looking for a few things:

allows tabs like Google Docs (basically multiple docs in one doc)
does have cloud integration so I can access files from places like my mac
preferrably open source and end to end encrypted!
I don't care if it's online, an app, or both

if you know of any, please let me know!

Replying to

@thegail@possum.city I wasn't specifically planning to do it, was just wondering if it's better to do so as I've seen some people swapping the OS.

Replying to

@volla@mastodon.social @Tutanota@mastodon.social By far, the most important part for me is digital freedom. I don't like being told what to do with the devices I bought and own. This is why I run Linux and my phone is jailbroken. This is why I use the Fediverse. This is why I'm a Tuta subscriber. I own my devices. I make my rules.

Got my Steam Deck yesterday, so here's the obligatory Hyfetch!

I knew I'd love this thing, but oh did I underestimate my love for the Steam Deck. Worth every cent.
