Teaching was my first love. Packets were my second.

I make classes to teach people how to defend themselves against hackers. In my spare time, I teach college students to compete in cybersecurity competitions, or try to take back my home automation from the cloud.

@malcircuit These conversations are useful, if only to help us articulate our shared concerns to others. While we may not individually control the situation, we are able to collectively improve our odds. For example, I've been reading more about cognitive load and debt. I mentioned it a work conversation on Monday, and my boss used that language with her leadership yesterday, then we had a followup conversation today about how difficult it is to train humans to catch unintuitive mistakes. These posts, including the amulet and atrophy metaphors, will directly help me to continue those conversations and start new ones. Articles and posts like these help us to build definitions, cite examples, and reframe the narrative, so thank you for forwarding this and for adding your perspective and imagery.

@kagan @andrew Awesome, I'm glad that helped! I've absolutely made that mistake before and almost certainly will do it again. 😂

@kagan Without seeing the script itself, two thoughts: Make sure the script starts with a #! line, since that tells the OS what kind of script it is. Since you mentioned being able to touch a file, write to a log file to see exactly where it is hanging: #!/bin/bash echo 0 >> mylogfile (first line of code here) echo 1 >> mylogfile (second line of code here) echo 2 >> mylogfile (third line of code here) ...

@Lkdc USian here. It's likely that I wouldn't know about the Schengen area if not for #JetLagTheGame: The main objective in the game is to visit as many Schengen Area countries in six game days. Countries can be locked by doing their country challenge, and unlocked countries can be stolen by the other team by completing that country challenge. -- Fandom.com https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB7ZcpBcwdC64gYhvs3PyyM_fRKpjq1l0

The mystery deepens!? If you click to apply for anything on their careers page, you end up at a non-senaical LinkedIn jobs search. Want to apply as a "Master of Ceremonies for Tech Events"? Here's a LinkedIn search for "Laundry Manager". @TheBreadmonkey@beige.party @_dunnster@toot.wales
