Why does every music streaming app think my favourite song is Hotel California? #weirdalgorithms

Does anyone else think that #preprints (in some disciplines) are following the hype curve https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gartner_hype_cycle? There was a surge during Covid that then plateaued. I'm now seeing signs of steadier growth and integration into publishing workflows. Preprints are becoming more mainstream. #scholcomm
