The Sencha Wizard

@Da_Gut@dice.camp no kidding!

it's finally #Friday and i woke up way too dang early. why? my wife and kids are in france visiting family and i'm alone here in the middle of the US waiting for them to call. but, sencha wizard, isn't 0100 Central US time perfect for a call with them? why, yes it is, except we agreed to 0300.

giving social.vivaldi.net/ a try

really speaks to the design of this style of games. i mean, i really have enjoyed all the "sierra games", as my brother and i called them, back in the day. makes me want to write something in inform.

KantCon is this week. i will have some fun! #TTRPG #ConSeason

well, i made a "mistake". ended up looking for #Tea stuffs online, so i fired up the kettle and am making me some 🍵.

@lowqualityfacts@mstdn.social @Dianora@ottawa.place i did that as a kid, but it was the style at the time.

while #life does seem to suck much of the time...it's #beautiful, too. my rationale is that there are so many small things often in many people's lives it should, if properly noticed, work together to push back the terrible ones. i'm speaking from experience as someone who was physically and mentally abused by a parent for over a decade starting at 6, causing lots of mental health disorders such as acute, non-combat PTSD. #LifeIsBeautiful

Stems and Seeds #StonerBands #HashtagGames

@squishymage42@dice.camp what a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

for the first time in the around 7 years of going to the KantCon #convention, i might have worn myself out. call it residual jetlag, but i really did get all i wanted done, including contact with a publishing mentor of my #TTRPG being revised once more thanks to people bringing up the entire Secrets module of Call of Cthulhu. i consider this a healthy and good thing after 3 days of a 4 day convention with yesterday spent heavily looking, shopping around, and etc

there is a rule set associated with the setting that is not specific enough to the setting and can be probably useful for anyone, too.

@lowqualityfacts@mstdn.social @imrehg@fosstodon.org this is entirely feasible. i've seen geese cause havoc just to steal golden bells from a nondescript english town.

Lisbon, city of hills

@veronica@explains.social as a retrotech enthusiast, i built an altair 8080 emulator from a kit. why? because of blinkenlights. no real reason. as you have stated clearly: JUST HAVE FUN WITH TECH

bye bye #Mozilla. really appreciated you while i could.

@Tim_Eagon@dice.camp been suffering, too. then, i remember we have a men's AND (a really, really good) women's team.

#evil is a foot!

i keep saying this, but it might become more of a reality with #FateRPG: my wife might be joining us for #TTRPG here tonight. it might be a matter of getting me to shut up, but i do hope she enjoys herself. my kids and i are building a humorous world. there's some serious elements, but nothing too serious. we want an escape, not the hellscape that is the US gov't right now.

@Leepvogel@mastodon.social @kyonshi@dice.camp was also thinking "i've heard it gets old after a while"

my understanding is the trust is about the player + GM ability to generate scenes and so on. as such, they don't need a "script". low-trust would be more along the lines of a kind of script akin to modern DnD modules. again, i might be wrong. maybe they'll chime in and provide correction to my understanding because, knowing me, i made a misstep somewhere and my foot is in bantha poodoo.

do any other #TTRPG creators find themselves reviewing constantly their work for funky details? with this semi-family friendly, violence discouraging one i'm making seems to have a lot of dwelling over details in the document itself. local play testing is going good for the moment for me to worry about that aspect.

hehe! while i whittle away the hours until bed, i'm watching the mid-90's film "Dragonheart". it doesn't seem as good as when i was 16.

@Wallflower@beige.party that would be ruinous to a good grape

the manual immigration control process is way smoother in #Europe than in the #USA. by far

well, i'm back in the midwestern US after a wonderful trip in spain and portugal. saw and appreciated so much. ate wonderful food. met some interesting people. had a wonderful time with the spouse and our beautiful children. sadly, they remain behind to visit family

@nf3xn@mastodon.social @stux@mstdn.social one can hope...i also have this hope.

hmmm...did all the recommended masking up and handwashing. still got #ConCrud

Army of Meeting-ness #LongDayMovies #HashTagGames

imho, the world is lacking in the area of pastoral #TTRPG

@stux@mstdn.social must be tired from all the monster mashing that took place.

@Wallflower@beige.party 🤣reality checks rule

@prahou@merveilles.town too much bread. really should cut back.

yay! up way too dang early for no reason other than my body is being weird at the moment. also, my family is out of town. so, what does one do? listen to music loudly as i want to! right now, i have stillborn by black label society playing. #Music #Metal

where is hank scorpio when we need him? #WorldNeedsAHero

@stux@mstdn.social @Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net and i've converted all but one of my devices over to vivaldi and i don't use the remaining one that much.

@newyorktimes@flipboard.com and did tiny airplanes try to get them down and, instead, of giving into the rescue they swatted at them?

as predicted, i am nearly over #JetLag from long-distance #Travel. maybe another night's sleep.

@Wallflower@beige.party i'm gonna take/have this in a meeting i am likely to conduct today.

hmmm...did all the recommended masking up and handwashing. still got #ConCrud

#ConCrud is over. i survived. now, to get down to business: more sleep 🤣

awesome! i got in 5-6 hours of sleep last night until around midnight Central US Time. let the #JetLag recovery begin #Travel

@Wallflower@beige.party shoot...it's late afternoon here on a sunday. crap.
