Scott Riley

just signed the contract to do a second edition of my book. shit is about to get unhinged on here as i descend into a form of madness hitherto unknown to this threadbare timeline of mine.

just spent a solid 40 seconds semi-convinced (by myself) that rabbits lay eggs. absolute cabbage brain today.

FigJam is the best design tool ever made. Simping hard for it. Perfect lil fucker. It's a better Miro made for cute people. Love it.

this site would be better if everyone shut the fuck up about twitter ngl

one of the main reason 'answer my fucking question' AI feels so innovative is because our industry's pool of content is saturated with bad docs and grifters who churn out awful articles incessantly for clout and to cling to relevance. having something that sifts through all the wrong/disorganised shit for you feels revolutionary now. but then, so will good docs. and shutting the fuck up.

if it navigates you away from the current context it's a link. if it performs an action within the current context it's a button. it's never a div. stop it.

@Chris@mastodon.social @michelle@front-end.social @DavidDarnes@mastodon.design you can also access all your library components from Figma inside FigJam. Which is so good for wireframing (especially if you have icon components, etc.).

wild how music peaked with the kung fu panda soundtrack tbh

spending a sunday in a hotel room building drag and drop from scratch cause i miss my dog cool sure do love normal brain

i think i've tweeted about this a thousand times already but fucking hell converge + chelsea wolfe is just the perfect combo. this album is fucking legendary. an all-time masterpiece. just outrageous.

@DavidDarnes@mastodon.design for real we do this in strongman to get tacky (helps atlas stones stick to you so you can lift them) off our skin and genuinely the sight of huge topless lads helping each other bathe in wd40 is one to behold.

sometimes (aka this one time just now) you (aka me) just need an iframe that renders a colour when you pass in a hex code and i couldn't find it so i built it.

`https://anycolor.vercel.app/?c=[hex-code]` (add `s=true) to show the hex code.

e.g.: https://anycolor.vercel.app/?c=ffa9c8&s=true

ahhh yes this is the weekend-ruining liverpool team i've gotten used to this season.

@tranhelen@mastodon.design it was _a lot_ – tight chapter deadlines, lots of 'am i actually good enough to do this shit?' questions, lots of 'i want to rip this all up and start again'. BUT amazingly rewarding and a creative process that i genuinely adored and which i've not been able to replicate in most other endeavours. happy to answer any specific questions!

@pmarques@mstdn.social i'd rather thread myself off a cliff

sunburned knees are ostensibly Not The One™

the last few days have been the absolute worst days of post-lockdown times but the sun is finally bothering to say hiya and now i feel like i can move? madness.
