@devSJR@fosstodon.org @cmccullough@polymaths.social As I said, there was no change in this regard in Firefox 148.0.2. I looked at the complete list of changes. And there wasn't a single request about this in the largest Firefox support forum for German-speaking users (I run that forum, so I see everything that goes on there) either. What exactly is the problem? What isn't working anymore? I just tested it. I started Firefox 148, enabled the "kill switch", updated to Firefox 148.0.2, it's still enabled, as expected.

@devSJR@fosstodon.org @cmccullough@polymaths.social There was definitely no change in Firefox 148.0.2 with regard to the kill switch at all. And updates, especially bug fix updates, never change "a lot of settings". That's for sure. This can only be an individual problem for this specific user.

@DC4DD@sueden.social @kaschmir@social.tchncs.de Ein E-Mail-Dienst ist der Dienst, bei dem du deine E- Mail-Adresse hast, zum Beispiel Google Mail, GMX, Posteo etc. – oder eben in Zukunft Thundermail. Der Mehrwert ist, dass die E-Mails bei einem Anbieter liegen, dem du vielleicht mehr vertraust als einem anderem, der deine E-Mails nicht für Werbung scannt usw. Was genau für einen Argumente für oder gegen einen bestimmten Anbeiter sind, muss jeder für sich selbst beurteilen.

@DC4DD@sueden.social @kaschmir@social.tchncs.de Naja, es ist etwas Neues in dem Sinn, dass es noch nie einen E-Mail-Dienst von Mozilla gab. Etwas Neues im Sinne einer ganz neuen Produktkategorie, was noch niemand anderes jemals zuvor gemacht hat, ist immer schwierig. Es ist ja praktisch alles schon erfunden. 😉

@CafeJunkie@troet.cafe @DC4DD@sueden.social @kaschmir@social.tchncs.de Ich denke, dass Mozilla nach über 20 Jahren nicht mehr beweisen muss, dass sie vertrauenswürdig sind. Mittlerweile sollte sich herumgesprochen haben, wofür Mozilla steht. Der Server-Standort von Thundermail ist Deutschland.
