@joeress@mastodon.social in re late night episode 385: I totally agree with you on Ubuntu and AI. It’s frustrating how much these Linux companies are folding to pressure as if they have to “keep up”. I’m glad unlike other things it is opt in, but I am dismayed that not a single one of these companies aren’t standing up to it. Every one keeps talking about an AI crash, well that isn’t gonna happen if it’s just shoved down our throats every where and some c-suite expensive purchase becomes justified despite all the problems introduced. We live in such a shit time

Why does every one think an AI crash is going to come? How many years has it been now and it just keeps ramping up?

Is any one at @ubuntu@ubuntu.social paying attention to RAM prices when they announced they would be shoving AI down our throats?
