Pastagang:
Day 1 #liveCodingCamp thoughts
- energy is still in a learning state
- first “make space” and “let code die” things happened
- I am looking forward to the next jams tomorrow!
- kids seemed enthusiastic so far
It still amazes me that despite there being 5000 different ways of uploading fotos the problem of how to share fotos in a (bigger) group is still kinda unsolved.
I want:
- an easy way to upload
- a way to download all other fotos, that I haven’t downloaded yet, so I don’t end up with duplicates
The best I have found so far:
Random drive solution and one folder per person. Then everyone needs to remember what person they’ve downloaded themselves.
#pastagang get them when you see me 👀
#errorcamp unstructured thoughts
- too short!
- name tags from the start would have been good! Worked without, but makes talking a bit easier m
- what an amazing place! What an amazing farm!
- i think it wasn’t to bad that we had a 11pm music curfew. Made it so we got more sleep!
- the loose schedule was kinda perfekt
- I did not do evreryhting I wanted, but that’s always the case!
- so many cool people
It kinda hit me just now.
The fediverse is never down. Sure different servers might be down (the one I'm at included!), but it's only ever a part. You don't get the "welp its down, nothing to do" moments on the same scale
#pastagang is when the workshop is over for an hour and the room is still jamming
Impromptu #pastagang set (ongoing 1.5h so far).
1.8/3 legs done of the travel day. (Approximately)
Biggest visual set (as in people in the crowd) just before pastagang, so I did both back to back.
Deluge did sounds out of radio sampling?.
And I used the standalone basil with the new audio capture to do visuals! (Some minor bugs, but it worked sooo perfec!)
This was soooo fun 🤩 https://www.youtube.com/live/9lt5KmKbbMQ?t=4646&is=UBEievvTRHRypZSZ
Algorave 2026 - Grrrnd Zéro
Thank you #pastagang that was amazing!
#pastagang slot is scheduled to be at 6-is. Stay tuned

The root cause, was floating numbers being inprecise ( 1 % 1/3, should be 0, but it was ~5e-17), which in turn caused the huge number.

@felurx@troet.cafe @pastagang@social.oc.is yeah! Check out the toplap node karlsruhe! They do weekly meetups! @toplap_ka@social.toplap.org
#pastagang What are your (one small sentence!) quick remarks for the death of nudel. The funnier the better. They might (no guarantees) make it onto the tombstone

(There is always some you don't catch I suppose, and with so mich hype sets going around, its just too much lol)

@hellojoey I'm about to just order stickers, but to not repeat the motif, do you have a sneaky picture of what you did? Then I will order a different image, and will make sure they will make their way to London at some point :)

@yaxu Currently I think of it more of a uzu (and specifically mondo /mini-notaion) inspired language.
It is originally hydra based, but mini-notation integration forced a lot of "timiness" in the implementation, and that (I'm guessing here) will at least move it into the direction of the uzu languages.
Wanted to do some light #basil work. jammed in the weekly flok jam instead 😅
Replying to
@yaxu Personally I see it as something at least very closely related, even though with a totally different set of goals (the biggest probably being, visual and not audio related).
(Also if you haven't kept up with my basil development, don't worry, there is like 0 documentation anywhere currently, but it's on ravioli and dente to play with :P, will get to update the documentation to include the mini-notation stuff at some point)

@Tijflalol Yeah, the implementation, I looked up wasn't meant for floating points ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But it works now :D

Managed to ssh onto it with port forwarding.
Welp this doesn't seem good.
No Idea who designed the double decker TGVs.
But I have no reception when sitting in my seat.
I do have reception in the stair area.
So I am sitting there now so I can work.
It's no that I am missing power anyway. This train doesn't have outlets!

Reboot is either taking its sweet time, or not working.
I hope the data isn't lost 😰
