So just so we're clear, my iPhone running last years iOS and I get to choose: Upgrade to Ugly Glass or risk exposing basically everything on the phone including passwords to any web site. Wow, that's really an impressive new low for Apple.

Good to see Keyboard Maestro working hard for me! It is nice that for once Apple’s security system is actually helping to market my program to my customers! ;-)

The new Netflix AppleTV video player is so bad it has me considering canceling Netflix for the first time. Well, technically, adding Netflix to my rotation with all the other video subscription services - keeping a few of them active at any time and rotating the others out. To date I've never been inclined to cancel Netflix, it's combination of vast range and reasonable quality have kept me subscribed. But the new player? Terrible!

OK, so moving from 1Password to Passwords, one issue I have - “discovery”, ie, say I want to go to my web site for "Wonder Company", but their URL is something.com. In 1Password, I use the Browser Extension, unlock it, search for “Wonder” and Open & Fill. Is there an equivalent for Passwords?

@chockenberry I backed it. I'm not sure I'd ever play it, its not really my style of game, I just like the thought of you folks calling me an Expert ;-)

@tempelorg@iosdev.space not remembering where you are is not something I've seen in Netflix (yet). But Amazon does that to me all the time - I'll watch an episode and a half, and come back and it restarts from the previous episode. Seriously, keeping track of where I am is a big part of the primary role of a streaming service.

@gcvsa@mstdn.plus @mattwilcox@mstdn.social it’s funny how whenever some posts a rational, well referenced and though out article about how renewables are clearly the best solution (or most other subjects for that matter) someone will always come along and say "That’s all lies" or "That's got lots of things wrong" - but then never actually say where the actual lie is, what is actually wrong. There were about a thousand individual facts in that video. Many with explicit source material. Which ones were incorrect?

@dxzdb no real idea - I think that happens for any reference to various areas outside Keyboard Maestro’s direct preferences (other locations in the App Support/Preferences/Documents folders?). Your actions presumably access something (or perhaps indirectly via an application/script you use). The only files Keyboard Maestro itself accesses are in the App Support/Keyboard Maestro folder and the Preferences/com.stairways.keyboardmaestro.* files.

@marcoarment@mastodon.social it's huge fun doing 3D printing. Next step is a laser cutter (great for allowing you to make larger objects). And then on to Circuit and PCBs (via a service like jlcpcb). Very entertaining!

@waxy@xoxo.zone this is what is was like to be a successful shareware developer in the 90s. I used to receive a stack of checks each week to be bundled up and sent on to my US bank account for deposit.
