Things I've been working on in #SecondLife since June:
House/suite builds with a stylish tropical theme.
More character creation
Entering the Fallen Gods photo contest (I won a prize!)
Some Rocky Horror themed photoshoots, complete with Time Warp poses and clothing textures that I created.
Writing is going swimmingly, though I've made more progress on the Aggi's Tale series than the others. Oops.
photo credits are on my flickr.
May your holidays be bright, and defy gravity.
Couldn't get in to Mastodon for a few days. I like the Brave browser but it has issues.
Ch 8 of 10 of Merritt's Tale is up! struggling with the urge to post the rest all at once.
Check out the series here: https://archiveofourown.org/series/4795180
Aggi's Tale has been sitting at 68 hits for entirely too long. Won't someone please click on it? For the 'nice'?
One last #SecondLife mermaid. The skin is from Stargazer!
I've been having fun with #mermaids in #SecondLife for #MerMay. I only managed one undersea photo so far. Mostly I just wait for inspiration to strike.
My favorite is the 'storytime with mermaids' photo.
Credits and more are in my flickr album! https://www.flickr.com/photos/198231632@N02/albums/72177720325973595
Someone posted about the LEL Axis Face HUD on Reddit, and upon investigation, I had to have it.
It not only lets you fine tune your facial expressions, but THOSE OF YOUR FRIENDS (with permission). You can also adjust head and neck angles, and your ears for those pesky hairs poking through.
Using premade poses, I made up the scene below, then altered the heads. It only took a few minutes.
I am delighted.
Still working on #MerMay in #SecondLife
I had to rent an oceanfront property for a week because I needed better water effects than what I could create in my skybox.
I really, really need an oceanfront property.

The final chapter of Merritt's Tale is up!

There will be more to come!
A few problems:
1. I have given away a ridiculous number of plot twists to unpublished stories.
2. This means #writing those stories before I can continue with this series.
3. I may have to reconfigure this series because referring to #SecondLife limits what I can do with them.
I have a plan 30 stories long and 6 series atm, to be published out of order like Star Wars.
Should be an adventure.
I've been saying for years now that I should do an underwater shoot in #SecondLife. This is the year, this is the #MerMay! 2 done so far in my flickr.
For #3, I'm imitating Waterhouse's The Siren painting for my art museum, but . . . is she a mermaid? Her feet in particular confuse me. It's like the balrog's wings - are they actual wings or just an impression of them? And is that a man or another mermaid in the water?
I'll probably do both.
So far this month:
Cleaned up my backup drive. It's 15 years old and a huge mess. My wonderful spouse helped me clear out the duplicates with a few lines of code, saving me months of work. WIP
Opened up oneluckyelf.com. WIP
Updated my blog, with much grumbling while deep in code. WIP
Writing: Finally cleared 1 hurdle, IDed another, and know what scenes to write next for 3 different stories. WIPS
Someday I'm bound to finish something, right?
I'm now @oneluckyelf@mastodon.social . The problem is remembering which account I'm logged into. See you over there!
Chapter 6 of Merritt's Tale is up! The story is about to head in a totally different direction - into the past.
While I'm at it, here's the book cover I made to go along with it! Scene built in #SecondLife, text added using Krita.
The full series can be found here: https://archiveofourown.org/series/4795180
Chapter 4 of Merritt's Tale is up!

I did not count the number of Ghostbusters quotes, nor am I going to apologize for them. Trust me, it could have been worse.
I've scaled back the amount of work for this story. No screenshots, though I've set myself up for future ones, and no chapter titles,, but I will accept title suggestions. I think the movie quotes interfered with my ability to come up with a clever theme.
I just finished writing Book 4 of the #SecondLife themed Aggi's Tale series!
*confetti explosion*
I will be posting chapters twice a week, I think. No pictures planned just yet.
Aggi's Tale will also be getting revised slightly.
I threw book 3 up last week, it's the Game Night - Steampunk Clue Misadventure that I accidentally made canon.
There is a website in the works.
All of this to avoid working on the original novel. Go me!
