@strongthany@infosec.exchange nice! Love the frame mounted front rack. I was having a somewhat hard time finding panniers with loops big enough to fit over the larger rear rack tubing that dutch bikes tend to have. Seems you've found something that fits, I'd love to hear your recommendation or experience, did it come that way or did you have to get aftermarket clips?

@lacroixboi@beige.party for the past few days I've been thinking about how to write a metronome app for GNOME using GTK and libadwaita, and call it Metrognome. I think your post is a sign I need to actually do this.

@sminez@hachyderm.io @jbert@hachyderm.io That's awesome, I'm excited to check it out! As it happens I woke up early this morning and couldn't fall back asleep because my brain was working through how to do a streaming-based structed system (with a naive placeholder matching system to start) so the focus is on how to efficiently compute potentially overlapping chains, then figure out the regex syntax later. I might sketch out something during my travels this weekend (but I have a cubesnake to optimize first... XKCD 3125)

@sminez@hachyderm.io @cliffordheath@mastodon.social @robpike@hachyderm.io If you have the restriction of just a single top-level chain, then I think for many use cases you would be able to greedily proceed with processing once the top-level match completes. Some sort of lazy evaluation (like the refer database example from http://doc.cat-v.org/bell_labs/structural_regexps/se.pdf) where you can process each matching sub-stream as it completes.

@sminez@hachyderm.io @cliffordheath@mastodon.social @robpike@hachyderm.io And perhaps with some cleverness you could support multiple top-level chains if you had the ability to know when every top-level chain completed one or more matches up to a given position in the stream, then proceed with processing those matches. The no overlapping matches restriction though is something I need to understand more. Perhaps that would simplify things? Or it's a symptom of the fact that the problem is really more complicated than I think...
