Round 2 of (maybe) harvest week photos for the field corn surrounding our house.
One neighbor has been pulling some corn in nearby, or doing other related work, but I'm not sure it's visible yet based on the photos. Maybe in the normal barnscape, a bit, but it's mostly out of frame.
Machines are going most of the day and into the night. Dog has lots to bark at.

These probably look a bit drab, but I'm guessing our neighbors' corn will be pulled in this week (could be wrong, they might wait one more week, we'll see). I'm hoping to take daily photos to capture how quickly the landscape changes.
Corn is probably just 8.5 ft tall!
Winchester cameo for scale, and to counter the drab. (Winchester is never drab, just dapper.)

Last week or so, Linda May Han Oh and Melissa Aldana released a duet album, "Beneath Lifted Skies." It wasn't a surprise -- there were some articles out beforehand, maybe a single.
I noticed when I added it on Tidal a week ago, it wasn't showing on Melissa Aldana's page, just Oh's... But it had both their names.
Now, the cover art has changed, and only Oh's name is on it. Even the bandcamp album page makes it sound more like an Oh project, not a duo.

Wonder what happened?

@drewph@ieji.de Those are some nice-looking cukes! Also, I'm a little disappointed that it took Mastodon this long to share their homegrown cucumbers in this thread. Seems both appropriate and on-brand.

@keefeglise@mastodonapp.uk Oh's website still has it listed as a duo project on the main page. I wonder if it's a representation/labels thing, although that'd be a weird conflict in the jazz world. but i can't think of too many reasons for the swap. Aldana's on Blue Note now.
fwiw -- i only got through the first half earlier this week before switching to something with a bit more pep, but it was really nice. i'm not always big on this type of duo setting but I really liked what I heard and am looking forward to playing it through soon.
