@benroyce I see a LOT of posts with the "Why aren't Americans doing more?" line and I have to ask the question what more exactly is being expected? It's easy to arm chair general this situation especially when those same people asking the question never seem to have any suggestion on what the "more" should be. Not picking on you Ben, just tired of seeing that statement shouted into a vacuum.

@j_bertolotti@mathstodon.xyz I know that photos rarely perfectly reflect the model, but that model looks amazing. It doesn't appear to dark though again it could be the photo. Honestly all your minis in this thread look awesome. Don't be too hard on yourself.

@LukefromDC @benroyce Yup. I suspect they will find "reasons" to it regardless. Seeing people saying that one plan is to use ICE and other federal agencies to "oversee" the election (assuming it goes forward). So it's a case of even if we do have an election can we trust the results. I realize that's a doomsayer statement but...

@lonespur@mastodon.social Yep, been saying this for a very long time. Course we made the same mistake with the Nazi's at the end of WW2, for the exact same reasons. This country has way too many people who don't actually align with what are supposed to be "American" values because they are ignorant, hateful people.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social Personally this is the direction I'm hoping all distros go in. We know Microslop and Apple will just cowtow to the requirement (primarily because they want it too). But for Linux distros, just make it so the license is unusable in CA. Problem solved.

@anarchy79 @benroyce You clearly didn't bother to fully read his post because it includes this: "amongst a range of answers" No where did he say it was THE answer, just one of the important ones that's easy to understand and most people understand it's value.

@blogdiva The something is "Yes" This is so frustrating, I've used Firefox for so long because it was usually the good guy browser. Now I don't know where to go, lots of browsers but they all have at least something worrisome about them it seems.

Of course it's all moot since as all these data centers go online they will simply hasten our demise climate wise. But hey, some people will happily not have to think those few remaining years I guess.
