My website (https://www.rainskit.com/) now works over #IPv6! And boy is my razor dull!

- VPS address delegation
- registrar glue (via support ticket)
- djbdns doesn't support v6
- djbdns v6-compatible fork won't install via pkgin with djbdns-run
- switch to (and configure) nsd
- ditto dnscache -> unbound
- configure nginx

It works!

But apparently @fastmail@mastodon.social doesn't have IPv6 support 😿 https://www.reddit.com/r/fastmail/comments/1nvuho3/ipv6_support/

@jvschrag@hachyderm.io hm... a flaw in this plan. I "killed" Pivotal Tracker and Scrum Mate. (And maybe one other? My memory is blurry.) But I didn't kill TFS / Azure DevOps. So I'm not sure I can be counted on to kill Jira.

@barubary@infosec.exchange @FediGarden@social.growyourown.services @elduvelle@neuromatch.social @mralancooper@hachyderm.io I think the email analogy is useful here. Moving mastodon servers is like moving email providers - you basically just move your contacts. All the old email stays right where it was. Mastodon is better than email in that the contacts also know where you are now, and you don’t have to notify them independently. But that still doesn’t help with any websites where you’ve mentioned your mastodon account.

@hannukle@infosec.exchange huh - I hadn't even heard of it. This is a small team that really is "agile" in all the best ways, so I've been hoping to find a tool that really supports that. We use Monday now, for everything in the business. But it sucks for dev. Fibery looks more like a Monday-replacement that would probably work much better than Monday for dev. But wow, I see a lot to like at https://fibery.com/software-development - I will check it out. Thank you!

Or they have passkey support but various workflows still use text messages to confirm authentication!
