@skippingmoonrocks I live in a public-housing complex in one of the most arguably progressive cities in the U.S. Chastised for addressing my accommodation needs to management regarding workers masking in my apartment, I hung a sign with one hashtag addressing the specifics as to why masks are required, and two hashtags as to why they should strongly consider said simple request before entering my perimeter.

A former tech-bro neighbor and recent masters-in-business graduate from an ivy-league school here in Greater Boston played the same faux-dumb shit with me over my COVID-cautiousness, use of they/them pronouns, etc. After a while I just started counter-trolling, i.e. he'd randomly say something positive about Elon Musk or whatever and I'd ask him if his car was the one with license plate xxx-yyy, to which he'd gulp and ask why I ask and I'd just cue a blank stare and say, "Oh nothing..."

The units on my floor are scheduled to have their air-filters changed today. My #hypervigilance is on 11. I'm readying myself for the likelihood of the maintenance worker setting foot in my perimeter to be the one I've heard on multiple occasions cat-call teenage girls and mutter “maricón” at me under his breath as I’ve passed him and his workmates in the hallways.
