@dgkf@fosstodon.org We at @rOpenSci@hachyderm.io are putting together a blog post on decentralising outta gh towards Codeberg and other places. We'll definitely link to your excellent Codeberg migration guide, but would also appreciate any other input from you too! https://github.com/ropensci/roweb3/pull/1167

@Micha_Silver@fosstodon.org @adamhsparks@rstats.me @yabellini@rstats.me @hrbrmstr@mastodon.social @dgkf@fosstodon.org @defuneste@fosstodon.org Yeah, that's the idea. Anybody can already mirror repos no problem, and use issues, threads, whatever from anywhere. There's still a bunch of technical infrastructure that's still GH-specific, but will be slowly but surely decentralising
So both Codeberg and GitLab can import not just code (git), but other info like issues, pull requests, releases. Does anybody know of any other code-hosting systems able to import this kind of extra info beyond just git histories? Ping @adamhsparks@rstats.me @hrbrmstr@mastodon.social @dgkf@fosstodon.org
