On-call shouldn't suck! If it does hold your manager and the organisation you're in accountable!
Shoutout to @mipsytipsy@hachyderm.io for writing about this so eloquently on https://charity.wtf/2020/10/03/on-call-shouldnt-suck-a-guide-for-managers/ 💯
For the last 6 years I've been sharing that post with fellow leaders/managers and engineers across the Ingka/#IKEA Digital global organisation more times than I have fingers and toes. 🖐️🦶
You learn more about your systems from a week on-call than you do from half a year of solution design and building. YMMV

As of today I'm the happy owner of both a #FairPhone 6 running /e/OS a.k.a. #Murena and a Google #Pixel10 Pro running #GrapheneOS.
Gotta say I'm already quite impressed with the FP6+/e/OS already - especially when considering it's half the price of the Pixel 10.
#Privacy baby, yeah! 🥸
@knoppix95@mastodon.social Yes! If people truly have nothing to hide why don't they just walk around naked?
Somewhere along the years of the internet we got things turned upside down; Exactly because we have nothing to hide (the vast majority at least) we should not be forced to share all of our data through indiscriminate channels for continuous misuse.

Proud to be a European where we are global leaders in consumer privacy. We do this because we value people - private consumers - above everything else, and because we believe that organisations exist to serve their customers and users, not the other way around.
"We should claim the right to suppress them [intolerant ideologies] if necessary even by force; for it may easily turn out that they are not prepared to meet us on the level of rational argument, but begin by denouncing all argument; they may forbid their followers to listen to rational argument, because it is deceptive, and teach them to answer arguments by the use of their fists or pistols."
If capitalism is so great, why do corporations need tax breaks, subsidies, exemptions, grants, bailouts, legal protections, and trade barriers to survive?
