mastodon 4.7.3Director of #UnrealAudioEngine at #EpicGames.
It's nice to see articles written about #MetaSounds and #GameAudio (among other things) outside of traditional #VideoGame media. Peter Kirn's #CreateDigitalMusic wrote an article here about #UnrealEngine's 5.1 release:
"Unreal Engine 5.1 goes wild: what’s new from foliage to generated sound"
Hey everybody, our #GameSoundCon talks were finally posted here!

Who's going to #GDC2023? It's been a while...
Some UE Audio folks will be going down to staff our much-loved audio booth for Epic. If you want to chat about #MetaSounds and #UEAudio, it will be a great chance to do it in person!
I used #GameAudio but maybe I need to also use #GameDev next time!
I'm not giving up on Mastodon... this place is awesome. The vibes are great and I am not a fan of Twitter. It's just that if the goal is to get information out, you can't ignore that Twitter is (sadly) still a good place to reach people.
I hope Mastodon grows though because this place is MUCH better!
@michaelgarydean@mastodon.gamedev.place Hows that RBNO work going? Was thinking of doing something similar over the holiday break.... I'm digging into Gen~ now... got Wakefield's book and am loving it.
So I discovered this amazing soundtrack, Last and First Men, by one of my favorite composers, #RobertAikiAubreyLowe.
Hadn't heard of the movie and it seems amazing.
"Two billion years ahead of us, a future race of humans finds itself on the verge of extinction. Almost all that is left in the world are lone and surreal monuments, beaming their message into the wilderness."
Anybody see this? I'm going to try and figure out how to watch it soon...
