I should have included another winning issue at the ballot box in this list:
Abolish ICE
A majority of Americans want this. And anecdotal evidence, of GOP canvasser's not wanting to go out at all in South Florida, because their voters are angry at them about deportations, supports this.

I'm encouraged by what I see as 4 things that have massive popular support going into the US Midterms. Candidates who embrace this progressive wave will outperform.
1) Free Palestine. People hate genocide, and the public backlash to supporters like Kraft and the complicit is impressive. Go Ms Rachel! Losing the 100 Billion+ war on Iran is only amplifying the anti-violence sentiment. https://iranwarcost.watson.brown.edu
2) Stop the Billionaires. This is embodied by the Angie Nixon campaign, the ways she wins with much less money, and unequivocally supports the working class. This is power.
3) Trans rights are human rights. Abdul El-Sayed gets it when he explains that decisions about healthcare for trans or any people should be made by patients, their doctors and their families.
4) Backlash against A.I. . People despise AI slop and are punishing businesses that promote it. Also, people are calling out the 'AI Doomers' and seeing through that rouse to keep the rich in control. This aligns with #2 above, and people are having none of it. See @DAIR@dair-community.social .

If you're in Florida, pick one of the canvasses near you and meet some exciting people. When Angie Nixon wins, you'll want to be able to tell people you were part of this movement.

Democrats have a solid candidate, Troy Jackson, for Senate in Maine. The strong stance against funding genocide has energized the base.

Tough draw for Gates, he could have gone so much further than the first round.

@enmodo@mastodon.social I remember my brothers telling me about Scambaiting . Maybe it's making a comeback. We are living in the age of the grift.
