I haven’t touched my shawl for a while, so I got it out today and reminded myself of how to do all the weird brioche stitches that combine a two stitch increase and a two stitch decrease in the same stitch.

I must confess my failings as a cat parent.
Even after Stitch clearly communicated that he did not like the thunderstorm and would like it to stop, I failed to do anything to change the weather.

I wonder why my sheets have holes in them
I’m in the process of washing and reassembling the water fountain. This appears to be a crisis.
(The fountain is new and this is the first time I’ve washed it since I set it up. It’s never not worked before.)

@cassolotl I have an induction stove with touch controls, and I’d much prefer to have dials. One of the annoying things is that when you’re trying to change the temperature the controls are so much slower than just turning a dial. I press the down button, wait for it to get to the right number, wait for it to realize I’m not making any more adjustments, beep, and then change the output. It’s not a huge delay, but it annoys me every time.

Ok, but I abandoned the cart because a $5 item cost $20 to ship. Saving 50 cents does not help with that. Also, the only reason you have my email to annoy me about this is because you wouldn’t tell me the shipping cost until I gave it to you.

Apparently I have become the type of person who has a favourite sentence in an international standards document.
The standard is ISO 13849-1, and the sentence requires that every safety-related part of the control system has at minimum the performance level required for the overall safety function.
It is my favourite sentence because it is clear and unambiguous and helps me win arguments.

No note, nobody asked, and I’m currently sad/angry about my hostas and freaked out about the invasion of my space. It’s not like a neighbour just kept going while mowing their yard, serious work was put in to this.
