My latest review: “Tawny” by Chris Quinton. #Fantasy #MMRomance #GayBookReviews Hal is a wanderer. He never spends too much time in any one place, but he’s been in the Lynn Valley for a while now. He works at the Black Dog pub which rents him a cheap room in the old carriage house. Hal has also made friends with lots of people, as well as the ginger cat that hangs around the pub and seems to have taken a liking to him. It’s tempting to stay, even more so when a handsome red-headed stranger checks into the pub for a few days. Gryff still carries an unhealed wound from a centuries-ago battle in an attempted coup that he was on the wrong side of. One of his comrades from that ancient war, Morgan, is trying to draw Gryff back into the fight to free their imprisoned leader. I’m finally at the end of a couple of major transitions (no, not that one) so it seems a re- #introduction is called for. I’m still Michael, a cis gay man hatched in California. What’s new is that I retired from work as a web developer at the end of 2025. As a way to afford retirement, I decided to return to the expat life I experienced in Bangkok from 1992 to 2013. But, to change things up, I’ve settled in Cebu, Philippines, a country I visited the least when I lived in Bangkok. I read a lot and review books at https://michaeljoseph.info I plan to finish my next book (the tenth) as well as perhaps writing more about my travels. I’m also a scuba diver so expect the occasional picture of sea life.
