How _my_ work day is going.
I've been generally heartened by mastodon's recent improvements and am curious to see where the project goes now that Rochko is stepping down: here's hoping that maybe his successor can manage to be a little less psychotically thin-skinned when people point out obvious design issues.
(Anyone replying to this to say no no we're all just holding PMs wrong will be screenshotted, mocked and blocked.)

@jamesthomson This is silly but anyone who thinks the price is absurd needs to google "Issey Miyake" and understand who the target market for this is.
I mean... it's still absurd for most people, but most people aren't buying from Miyake's ready-to-wear lines.

@mtsw@mastodon.social one of the things that always struck me reading Shirer’s Rise and Fall of the Third Reich was that the Nazi high command didn’t even bother hiding their opinion that Mussolini was a buffoon and that the Fascist Italian army was beyond useless…
…and that in no way stopped Italy from buying the full ticket. Nor did this seem to prompt any significant introspection about their own government.
