Proud black trans woman 🏳️⚧️
Ordered a pizza and the guy on the phone said “what can I get you daughtah?”
Buying another fighting game I’ll be terrible at because I like Arc System Works’ animation.
NY Times back at it with an op-ed about how therapy is bad for mental health.
Unironically the cost of a PS5 is a heartland issue that would get people to vote.
Me being a parent is immaterial to “parents know best,” because my parenthood is not desired by those who say it. There is no hypocrisy for someone who values words only for their ability to shoot venom.
Trump came into office and Hakeem Jeffries went up to a podium and asked what he was supposed to do. We had a year’s worth of think tanks debating who’s liberties should be sacrificed for the sake of winning. Now we get to midterms and these same people are crying foul because their base wants to vote for people who actually want to fight.
Every trans person, Black person, and other minority group killed is all kin in one way: in death, they are mocked and assigned self as the cause for their demise, even as mere existence. Such is the way oppression attempts to morally justify itself.
Got a cold call about a Design Engineer role AI-ifying a component library, and I truely just want all of this to end. People are crashing their UX by taking designers out of the loop and having random project managers just doing whatever with Claude.
If ever there was an opportunity for an incumbent Democrat to make their case, it would be about what we’ve lost in terms of protections, like the corruption of the EEOC and the dismantling of the Civil Rights Act, and how they intend to use the mechanisms of the legislative branch to at least gum up everything that Trump is doing. But instead, that gets filed away as “identity politics” and treated as sacrosanct to discuss.
Used to be that you would have these sheltered, unworldly kids who would make it to college and flame out. Now we have safe space diploma mills, and conservative politicians who want to force colleges to pass them, so they can fail a little further down the line in the job market.
The tragedy of LLMs is that knowledge and context management on the part of humans is more important than ever when it comes to efficiently using these tools.
Companies are lighting the world on fire to brute force their way around human knowledge with ever more resource hungry models. It’s why everyone corporate developing using AI is so burnt out, because the work becomes knowledge management and regurgitation, at an unsustainable pace by threat of economic violence.
Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! Are you trans or nonbinary? Enjoy community and coffee? Well, come on down to Café Madelaine in Jersey City at 1pm this Sunday for all of that stuff.
I’m really not trying to listen to like three hours of new Drake today.
Trump administration to make conservative safe spaces; aims to prevent screaming, crying, and throwing up over the concept of trans people.
