I remember when Chrome first came out. It was appealing because it was fast and bloat-free compared to its competitors at the time. Now it downloads a 4GB AI model to your machine without consent. 😕

Was in a meeting with some colleagues - also developers - who were complaining about having run out of AI credits for the month.

It's like seeing your friends all get addicted to a dangerous new drug. Scratching and sweating and going "I just need a bit more AI to get me through, man."

Thinking of my trans friends and acquaintances on #TransDayOfVisiblity with much love, respect and admiration for them in a world that is often so needlessly hostile.

How am I only now discovering that I quite like The Wedding Present? Talk about being so late to the party that the hosts have already moved house.

I'm a huge fan of the Defense Grid games but DG2 came out in 2014 and there have been no signs of any further development on the series.

Until today when the devs just dropped new DLC out of nowhere.
