Jan 'Maub' Kap. 🦄🥔

@jonyoder@mstdn.social I've got a very strong feeling that layoffs that had the replacement of junior/trainee staff with AI in mind will become a disaster in 2-3 years for any company that tries this. I have a similar feeling that the layoffs at large hyper scaler outfits were not primarily to replace staff with AI but rather to gain the necessary liquidity to keep investing in the rampant data center expansion.

@jonn_blanchard no kink shaming.

@selzero Tja.

@annaghughes@mastodon.online I'm not a very religious person, but Jesus.

@talia_christine@beige.party [side-eyeing the company's obnoxious aws infrastructure]

@mrencyclopedia@retro.pizza I am so happy this thread exists.
