@lukastaegert love this direction rollup is taking! Really great talk. Over at Deno we're facing the exact same problem with the serialization cost of moving swc's AST between Rust <-> JS and we're planning to invest in a similar approach of a binary format like you outlined in the talk. Is there a chance we could combine efforts on this? We have a hackathon coming up in two weeks and I'd love to hack on that.

@lukastaegert Thanks for the pointers! Ohh that's a great idea! I wonder if it could work like a piece table where you have the original buffer and store the modifications in a separate layer.
