Made a 3d printed MFT lens mount work with an IMX290 sensor, now I just need to print a bigger case

@fredy_pferdi on the prototypes it doesn't seem to be an issue so far, I'm not really putting significant load on the cpu and with one of those small heatsinks it works fine with passive cooling
the case design itself also has holes on the top and bottom to hopefully get some nice convection cooling

@nicorikken@mastodon.nl There's C-mount lenses with electronics, but those just have random external cables for it. for every mount I'm going to have an adapter board anyway to supply the correct power to the lens and convert the protocol, I guess I'd just do SPI to the adapter board.
The electronic lens I have is not C-mount, that mount doesn't even have a proper name.

@nicorikken@mastodon.nl I've seen some RE efforts for the MFT mount yes, I have not yet tried hooking up a logic analyzer to mine though.
The official raspberry pi 5" screen v2 is portrait orientation (720x1280). The one I'm using now is from waveshare and is 1024x600, so landscape orientation so I can have the video stream fully hardware accelerated.

@Peetz0r as far as I know it isn't android. But it's certainly heavy inspired by the style of it.

@julianfairfax@fosstodon.org @mobian@fosstodon.org @PINE64@fosstodon.org if I remember correctly the difference is that it's using a different display but you can't detect which one it is from software in u-boot to load the correct device tree. So yeah two images is the solution but that really also requires two testing devices
