I think the best advice is to do what you do now, which is to change the moment it does not fit. even if it's not a fun process.

the book "seeing like a smugler" provides some great insights into how broders work and how they affect the folks living on either side. it also shows how murky the line is between legal and illegal trade in these areas, and also how nation states balance needing them while also feeling a need to punish business in border lands.

it provides an insight into the humans involved, the local contexts and how it often times is rooted in a longer history of activity. a truly fascinating book which expands your perception of what a border is.

companies thinking ai bots crawling shitty docs will make things better will spon learn that curated docs which are good are way better, even if some things might be missing.
bringing mountains of bad docs on equals terms as good docs will not make things better.
it follows today’s short sighted quick fix mentality, where you’ll do _anything_ to prevent addressing root causes.
