@malteengeler While this may all be true, still, it's from a very privileged position. And disclaimer, I studied computer science in the eighties of last century, and can claim to be a computer literate. Heck, I do a lot of self hosting. Still, "normal" people, for which all this stuff is (rightfully) way over their head, want an alternative that is better. Not something ideal and wonderful, because, as you analyzed, that probably doesn't exist. Of course, European companies are companies, have to make money and thrive. For me, the situation still is, Europe is a better region for data protection and such, and companies have to earn money, but aren't "raptors" like their American counterparts. That's how I understand #did and fully can endorse it @structural_integrity

(https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ackerbohne?wprov=sfla1) Hint: kann man roh essen, bei Hülsenfrüchten lässt man das meistens besser. Und man sollte nicht von Favismus betroffen sein (siehe z.B. Warnschilder am Eingang von toskanischen Supermärkten, wenn Fave verkauft werden)

@andi Also, ich habe inzwischen in darktable mir einen guten Workflow gemacht mit den Modulen, die ich brauche, und gehe wirklich sehr schnell durch meine Bilder (Belichtung und manchmal Farbsättigung noch anpassen) Habe aber auch bis dahin einige Screencasts und Tutorials angeschaut

@andi @vonmatterhorn@troet.cafe Ja, ich wollte das auch bestärken, dass es andere auch so machen... Und du hast auch sehr Recht, wenn man was gewohnt ist, sind neue Workflows erst mal eine tierische Bremse. Da muss man halt durch, oder eben nicht 😉
