No honey, "equinox" is when a horse and a cow make a baby together

I had a good day today!

Over the last month I had an infected wisdom tooth that needed urgent surgery and after I'd recovered ingot hit with an acute secondary infection.

I took the time to heal up, recover, and strengthen so today I could return to work strong, fit, clear-headed and ready to go.

Aw sick this RULES

Pro tip: if you pronounce "changelog" as chung-GEH-lodge, some software developers will stop talking to you for up to a week

Finished a wee poem I started in 2005:

---

in times untold and parts unknown
the wind had never windward blown

but in so blowing through the trees
would always rustle slight unease

in those whose hide or hair it kissed
who hid in prayer to be missed

by they who must on prey subsist

There's a scene in @robmacwolf.thevoice.dog 's book "Of Late Belonging" where a polycule tries to plan a party around everyone's schedule, over a group text and shouting across different rooms in the house

If anyone asks "what is polyamory?" you can just show them this scene and add "plus kissing"

Sometimes I forget the internet can be wholesome all on its own.

I ratholed into a Reddit thread about the submarine scene in the last Mission: Impossible film and there are so many people earnestly squee-ing about how exciting and tense it was, how it thrilled them and how they adore the films

There's a specific kind of weasel in my brain lately making me caption Dune memes with quotes from obure British 2000s psycho-horror comedy show The League of Gentlemen

great song uncle Scar, good job hitting the high notes and you sure got the crowd going, really top notch stuff

but explain to me how the fuck one's "powers of retention" can be "wet"
