Cecilia "Cissy" Marshall, the widow of the trailblazing Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall and the keeper of his legacy, died Nov. 22.
She was 94.

This week, The New York Times revealed that Caesars Sportsbook had agreed to lucrative partnerships with LSU & Michigan State to promote sports betting.

I have investigated lots of Washington influence operations over the years.
I can't remember one that ramped up as quickly -- with as much money & as little apparent regard for the lines between corporate lobbying, political & nonprofit spending -- as FTX.
That slapdash approach concerned some involved, who warned the company to be more careful.
